Wise Owls provide a wide and varied curriculum that promotes all areas of development and learning for the children of Wise Owls.We have a period of free play every day where the children get to choose their own activities. In accordance with the EYFS (2012) we consider the individual needs, interests and stage of development of each child in our care and use this information to plan challenging and enjoyable experiences in all areas of their learning and development. have an outdoor play area that the children have access to every day weather permitted. Also we go for walks around the village several times a week, the children are a regular sight around and about on their walking ropes.

We have recently introduced a cooking club whereby we grow our own food, encourage the children to take part……….and they enthusiastically do so !!!  Then we all prepare the vegetables to make delicious soup and jacket potatoes. The results of which can be seen in the gallery below.

We also include form of FUNdamentals (or Funky Cats) as the children like to call it. It’s a physical activity programme, which was developed by British Gymnastics. It gives us lots of fantastic ideas to help develop the children’s skills in movement and co-ordination.Our main aim is for children to learn that movement and activity is fun and enjoyable. As well as doing the ‘funky cats’ as a structured activity once a week, the children also like to have the CD on and practice their moves in our ‘free play’
